Doko Demo Issyo is a unique blend of virtual pet and chat toy gameplay. The game features several characters known as Pokepi , including a white cat named Toro Inoue, a rabbit named Jun Mihara, and a dog named Pierre Yamamoto. These Pocket People are the main focus of the game, and players can form bonds with them by chatting and interacting with them.

Gameplay revolves around the use of the PocketStation accessory to take your Pokepi out and about. As you travel, your characters will chat and interact with each other, forming friendships and rivalries that affect their behavior when returned home. The ultimate goal is to keep your Pokepi happy and healthy, while also exploring new places and discovering new things.

Doko Demo Issyo was released for the PlayStation on July 22, 1999 , offering a fresh take on the virtual pet genre with its innovative use of accessory technology.
