Space Attack is a single-player shooter for the Atari 2600 in which the player defends a mothership against waves of alien fleets. The game offers two modes: Radar Mode, a strategic view where enemy ships are tracked on a radar screen, and Battle Mode, an action-focused view with direct ship combat. Players control three squadrons that must dodge photon blasts and destroy the invading fleets, each varying in size and speed. The title is notable for its early use of dual gameplay modes and for being released by Mattel Electronics in 1979.
