You are an American fighter pilot in Spitfire Attack , tasked with destroying enemy aircraft, ammo dumps, and anti-aircraft guns. Your mission is to eliminate these targets while avoiding collision with them or running out of altitude. If you fail to correct your flight path when warned of low altitude, you risk crashing into the ground.

The gameplay involves navigating your plane through a 2D representation of the sky, using left and right movement to steer and up and down to change direction. To defeat enemies, simply press the fire button, which fires machine guns at incoming planes and targets on the ground.
