The Final Conflict is a 1-player versus computer or 2-player strategy game for the Apple II. Players take the role of a Central Controller, directing an endless army of robotic weapons in a battle of planning and automation. Each side controls a factory on a large grid-based battlefield filled with terrain obstacles such as forests, mountains, lakes, and additional factories. Before combat begins, players are given 1 to 10 minutes to pre-program the movement and behavior of their robotic units. Once the battle starts, robots continuously stream from the factories, automatically carrying out their assigned commands. The objective is to destroy all six sections of the opposing factory before your own is eliminated. The game features adjustable speed settings from 1 to 10, emphasizing both strategic planning and real-time observation of the unfolding conflict
