The Crayon Factory is an educational game for children aged 3-7. In the game, players explore the Crayon Factory and learn while having fun.
Players can take a virtual tour of the factory narrated by Shari Lewis, but this tour can be skipped to enter the interactive mode. Here, players can play games such as fixing pipes or gears. The game focuses on puzzle solving, pattern recognition, spatial rotation, and hand-eye coordination.
Another game requires players to fill packages with one crayon of each colour. In the quality control game, players use a magnifying glass to check boxes for colour patterns.
Players can also mix colours and learn how secondary colours are created.
As players complete tasks, they can achieve expert status. This is usually after performing a task correctly many times. When expert status is reached, a parent can print out a certificate.
In addition to the games, there are 34 drawings to colour either in-game or after printing.
