You take control of Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, or Obi-Wan Kenobi at the start of Star Wars: Clone Wars , leading the Republic Army against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The game picks up where Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones left off, with a series of events that lead to the Battle of Geonosis and the start of the Clone Wars.

The game's story follows Anakin and Obi-Wan as they investigate a Confederate fleet ambush on the planet Rhen Var. They soon discover that there may be something darker behind the invasion, including the Dark Reaper, an evil Sith device that could harvest the power of the living. The Republic must prevent this weapon from activating and destroying the galaxy.

In Star Wars: Clone Wars , you'll pilot a range of vehicles, including speeder bikes, Republic Gunships, fighter tanks, and your lightsaber for close combat. The game features ground battles, unlike the Rogue Squadron series which concentrated on aerial battles. You'll fight as various characters to prevent the Confederacy from gaining the deadly Dark Reaper.

The game includes multiplayer options for up to four players with different game types, including deathmatch, conquest, and a co-op mode.
