American Dream is a unique casino game released for the Famicom in 1989. In this game, players can choose between two different modes: simulation or "game". The simulation mode follows the story of Pachio-kun , a pachinko ball who visits a casino to exchange money for tokens and try his luck at the slot machines.
The "game" mode takes a more action-packed approach, where Pachio-kun is transported by helicopter onto a top-down map of Brooklyn, New York. As he explores this virtual world, he gains access to different casino houses and can engage in random encounters that allow him to bet money and operate slot machines directly from the map.
