Crysis 2 , released on 2011-03-25 for the PlayStation 3, is a first-person shooter game. The story follows Crysis 2 ' protagonist, Far Cry's Jake Mulracy but only in minor roles; instead, it follows an unnamed U.S. Army Delta Force operative who must fight against an alien threat known as the Caius Brotherhood of Nod, who have taken over New York City.
The gameplay involves a mix of combat, stealth, and exploration as the player must navigate through the devastated cityscape, fighting against the Caius forces and trying to uncover the secrets behind their invasion. The game features an advanced nanotechnology-based suit that allows for increased strength, speed, and agility, as well as improved armor and equipment.
