The story follows Mumble, a young Emperor Penguin who loves to tap dance. However, his love of dance makes him an outcast among his peers, who prefer more traditional penguin activities. When the Emperor Penguins face a crisis with their food supply, Mumble must use his unique skills to save them.

The game features a variety of levels set in different environments, from icy tundras to underwater caves. As players progress through the game, they can unlock new characters, costumes, and abilities for Mumble.
