This quirky action-adventure game follows the story of the town of Suburbia as it's invaded by an army of undead plants. The residents of this once-peaceful community are being terrorized by a swarm of bloodthirsty vegetables, from zombies to brains and more. As a member of the special task force, you must defend your home against these plant-based monsters using a variety of powerful flowers.

The gameplay in Plants vs Zombies is all about strategy and timing. You'll use different types of plants to attack the zombies, from the straightforward pea shooter to the more complex sunflower. Each level presents new challenges, such as hordes of enemies or special power-ups that you must navigate around. As you progress through the game, you'll unlock new plants and upgrades for your arsenal.
