Supremacy MMA is a mixed martial arts fighting game that takes an arcade approach, differing from contemporary UFC Undisputed titles. The combat screen features a 2D stage perspective reminiscent of classic games like Street Fighter and Tekken. The visual display of the results of graphic violence includes attention to bruises, swollen faces, and blood splatters on the floor.
The main game mode is called Supremacy Stories. Some characters are modeled after real world athletes, including Jens Pulver, Jerome Le Banner, Malaipet, and Felice Herrig. Supremacy MMA introduces female fighters to a MMA video game for the first time.
Besides classic VS battle and online modes, there is also a Supremacy Stories mode for each character. Additionally, there are two Tournaments modes with Battle Royale and Survival Ladder.
