Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future is a story about humanity's unlikely ally, the dolphin, who saves the planet from an alien threat. Hundreds of years into the future, humans and dolphins coexist in harmony, with dolphins acting as the Earth's guardians. However, when an alien force called the Foe destroys the planet's defense system and alters history, one extraordinary dolphin named Ecco must travel through time to set things right.
As Ecco embarks on his journey, he finds himself in a 3D underwater adventure game filled with over 25 different aquatic environments to explore. To succeed, Ecco must communicate with other ocean creatures and learn to manipulate his environment using various abilities. With these skills, he can overcome obstacles and defeat the Foe's minions.
