Castlevania: Bloodlines follows the story of John Morris and his friend Eric Lecarde as they travel across Europe to stop Elizabeth Bartley from resurrecting Count Dracula at the Palace of Versailles in France.

The gameplay takes place in a series of side-scrolling levels set in different locations, such as Parisian streets and the palace itself. Players control John Morris, who can jump, dash, and attack enemies using his whip. The game features a variety of creatures and bosses that must be defeated to progress through the story.
