Final Fantasy XIII-2 is set in an alternate timeline of the original Final Fantasy XIII. The story follows Serah Farron, who has been resurrected by her fiancé Noel Kreiss 500 years into the future. With her memories erased and her body damaged, she finds herself on a journey with Noel to uncover the truth about their pasts and the world they live in.
The gameplay of Final Fantasy XIII-2 combines elements of role-playing games with real-time combat. Players control Serah as she explores environments, battles enemies, and interacts with non-playable characters. The game's combat system is based on a combination of magic spells, sword attacks, and command abilities.
