Sanrio Carnival takes inspiration from Dr. Mario, but brings its own twist with the addition of Hello Kitty and her friends to the mix. The gameplay involves matching block objects of the same type in a horizontal or vertical row of three, four or five.
The game offers different single-player styles, each with its own objectives, as well as options for music tracks and theme choices. Players can also compete against each other in a two-player versus mode.
