Wipeout HD is an adrenaline-fueled racing game that drops players onto a futuristic circuit, where they must navigate treacherous tracks and compete against rival pilots. The story takes place on a distant planet, where the player's ship has crash-landed, and they must fight to survive in this hostile environment.
The gameplay revolves around high-speed racing, where players use the Move Controller to control their ships.
