Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze

The gameplay combines elements of exploration-based platforming and beat-em-up action. The turtles' quest takes them through a huge interconnected world, including sewers, streets, the TCRI building, and even Dimension X. Players must unlock new skills or items to access new areas, as only a small part of the world is initially accessible.

The four turtles can be switched between at any time, each using their signature weapons and having slightly different fighting styles and moves. Basic attacks and blocks are simple, but landing hit combos and pressing attack again sends the turtle's weapon spinning before launching a "Shell Kicker" - an extra powerful move that can knock enemies back or deal extra damage.

Defeating enemies gains experience points, allowing for upgrading Shell Kicker attacks. Power-ups and allies like April or Casey are needed to earn new abilities, such as double jumps and dashes, shuriken throws, or smoke bombs. Health upgrades include pizza boxes for higher maximum health or pizza pies and slices for replenishment.

The game features several boss battles against iconic characters like Rahzar, Baxter Stockman, and the Shredder. The voice actors from the TV series reprise their roles in the game.
