White Knight Chronicles II , the latest installment in the White Knight Chronicles series, takes place after the events of the original game. The kingdom is enjoying a brief moment of peace, but this tranquility is about to be shattered by a new and terrifying evil that threatens to destroy everything.
The story follows Leonard, the young hero from the first game, as he finds himself sucked into a new and even more perilous quest. Princess Cisna, who was rescued in the first game, is still alive, but the kingdom of Balandor is plunged back into chaos as the dark force that has been lurking in the shadows begins to make its presence known.
The gameplay mechanics have changed from the original game, with the removal of the attack gauge. However, the White Knight Chronicles II disc includes a complete version of the first game, allowing players to import their saves and experience the changes for themselves.
White Knight Chronicles II was released on the Playstation 3 on September 13th, 2011.
