Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is an updated release of the original Devil May Cry 5 . It is the first version of the game for the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series platforms.
This version uses the platforms' technical capabilities to introduce ray-tracing support and a framerate up to 120. Ray-tracing was supported in the PS5 version from the start and for XBX through a content update. It is not supported on the XBS version of the game.
The game includes new features such as Turbo Mode, which boosts the game speed by 20%, and Legendary Dark Knight Mode, where players fight against large numbers of demons. This updated edition also includes all additional content that was released for free or as DLC for the original version of the game, including the content of Devil May Cry 5: Deluxe Upgrade , EX Color costumes, and Bloody Palace mode.
Additionally, the game introduces Vergil as a new playable character, along with a new battle track. The character is available separately as commercial DLC for the original version of the game.
