Insector X , released in 1990 for the Sega Genesis, is an action-packed side-scrolling shooter set in a garden filled with buzzing insects. The game follows Mecha Insect forces as they clash in a battle for backyard supremacy. Players must take on swarms of wasps, bees, and flies to decide the fate of their surroundings.
Insector X features three skill levels, each with increasingly difficult enemies and challenging boss battles at the end of each level. Power-up tokens can be collected throughout the game to unlock special weapons, which are dispensed randomly to aid in gameplay.
