The story follows Captain Jean-Luc Picard and his crew as they investigate a distress signal from an old friend, Dr. Zobin, who has been trapped in an ancient temple on the planet Rigel IV. As the crew navigates through treacherous traps and hostile alien creatures, they must also unravel the secrets of the temple to rescue their friend.

Gameplay involves exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat, as Picard and his crew fight their way through hordes of enemies to reach Dr. Zobin. The game features a mix of platforming, shooting, and strategy elements, as players use Picard's phaser and other abilities to overcome obstacles and defeat foes.
