Superman is here to save the world from the villainous Doomsday. However, in doing so, he meets his demise. The story takes a turn as four other characters emerge, each claiming to be the true hero. Players get to experience Superman's journey first, followed by Steel, the Eradicator, the Cyborg, and Superboy.

The gameplay of Superman follows the traditional beat-em-up formula, with players using punches, throws, and special moves to overcome enemies.
