Lode Runner Twin: Justy to Liberty no Daibouken follows the story of the king's two heroes, Justy and Liberty, as they attempt to retrieve the stolen candy from invaders in their dungeon. The king has summoned these twin heroes to help him regain his lost sweets.
The gameplay involves controlling either Justy or Liberty as they navigate through levels, moving back and forth, climbing ladders, crossing ropes, and digging holes in certain surfaces. Enemies that fall into the player's dug-up holes can be walked over, allowing for a unique and fun gameplay mechanic.
