Super Fishing is a cartoon-style bass fishing game. The game is divided into five stages, each of which is a timed tournament with a specific target fish. The player must catch smaller fish to build their ranking before attempting to catch the target fish on each stage. The only customization options are a selection of lures which can be changed at any time.
The gameplay revolves around timing and strategy. The player must press the button at the correct moment to hook a fish, while avoiding hitting rocks or other obstacles that could cause them to lose their tackle. As the player progresses through the stages, the difficulty increases, requiring precision and quick reflexes to succeed.
