The gameplay involves answering trivia questions, with the amount of money at stake varying randomly and differing in difficulty. The player can use two "Jump the Question" lifelines to skip questions they don't want to answer.

Players can compete against friends or family in local multiplayer mode, and can also play as their Xbox 360 avatar. The game features over 3000 questions and supports voice recognition and gesture-based input using Kinect.
