Life is Strange: Before the Storm

The gameplay is identical to the first game, with the player guiding Chloe through different environments and solving small environment-based puzzles. The game emphasizes developing a story and the conversations between characters, with certain choices and actions having consequences that influence the story.

Chloe has access to a new backtalking mechanic, where conversation puzzle systems can be used to advance the story. This involves choosing correct answers within a timer, reflecting on words to pick a comeback, or gathering clues for additional dialogue options.
