Some monsters have special abilities that can be activated by paying Crests; Movement, magic, and attack effects are used during your turn, Defense effects when attacked, and Trap effects when requirements are met.

When written in a special ability explanation, that monster's abilities activate automatically when Summoned to the Field.

When written in a special ability explanation, that monster's abilities can be exercised continuously for as long as it remains on the Field.

When attacking during one's turn, ATK can be increased by 10 points by consuming one Attack Crest, with up to 3 Crests usable per turn.

When being attacked during an opponent's turn, damage can be lowered by 10 points for each Defense Crest consumed, with no limit to the number of Crests per attack.

There are five monster types with hierarchical strengths; damage is offset based on whether a superior or inferior Type attacks.

The five monster types are Spellcaster, Undead, Beast, Warrior, and Dragon.

A superior Type attacking an inferior Type increases its ATK by 10, while an inferior Type attacking a superior Type increases the defender's DEF by 10.

Players select 15 dice for their Dice Pool from the dice box, confirm the selection, and then the system or player selects 3 dice to roll.

Choosing 3 dice and selecting GO rolls them; rolling two or more of the same Summon Crest summons a monster, while other Crests are saved to the Crest Pool.

A successful Summon allows a player to play one die showing a Summon Crest onto the Field, with a maximum of 10 monsters or items per game.

Refers to the unfolding of a die and placing it as a flat, six-square piece on the Field, which must be performed after a successful Summon. The first Dimension must touch the Die Master area, all subsequent ones must connect to existing dungeon pieces, and they cannot overlap other dungeons, obstacles, or stick out of the Field.

When defending, damage equals the difference between the attacker's ATK and defender's DEF, with the attacker receiving damage if the defender's DEF is higher. When not defending, the attacker's ATK is directly inflicted upon the defending monster, and monsters with zero or less HP are destroyed.

Raises a monster's ATK by 20.

A monster that enters a square with a Medical Aid Kit will have 20 HP restored.

If two or more warp holes are on the Field at the same time, a monster entering one warp hole will move to the other warp hole. 'Warp Holes' do not disappear after being activated.
