8-Bit Hordes is a standalone expansion for 8-Bit Armies , with which it is fully compatible in multiplayer. Two new factions are introduced: the Dark Orcs and their Deathsworn allies on one side, and the Humans, Dwarves and Elves of the Lightbringers on the other. There are 24 new campaign missions, 12 co-op missions, 10 multiplayer/skirmish maps for up to 8 players, and new music by Frank Klepacki.
The game's story takes place in a fantasy world where magic and technology coexist. Players must navigate through levels, fighting against enemies and completing objectives to progress through the campaign.
