LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game lets you relive the Star Wars prequel movie trilogy (Episodes I, II and III) in a fun LEGO way. You get to play as over thirty characters through key moments from The Phantom Menace , Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith . The storyline is mostly about important events in the movies, but with some added or missing bits.
The gameplay is action-packed with platforming and simple puzzle-solving. You control two or more characters through stages that represent movie chapters. These chapters must be unlocked in a set order to finish the whole movie. Characters have different weapons and special abilities, like Jedi who can lift objects with the force.
Some levels are about flying aircraft, fighting vehicles, or destroying targets. The Free Mode lets you revisit stages with any characters you've unlocked. You can also find collectible items and LEGO studs (which are like money) to gather during exploration. If a character gets hurt, they don't die - they just lose their LEGO studs.
LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game is available for the Gamecube console, released on 25 October 2005.
