Space Journey , released on the TI-99 in 1970, is an arcade-style game that combines space exploration with educational mathematics. The player assumes control of a spaceship, tasked with answering mathematical questions to navigate through the galaxy and complete objectives.
The primary objective is to guide the spaceship back to Earth within a set time limit of 2 minutes. Along the way, the player must answer math questions to overcome obstacles such as meteor showers, force fields, refueling stations, and other hazards that require mathematical solutions to escape. The game features three levels of difficulty, adding an element of challenge for experienced players.
