Popeye is an action-adventure game that follows Popeye as he tries to save Olive Oyl from Bluto. The story begins with Popeye receiving a letter from Olive, asking for his help, and then Bluto kidnaps her. Popeye must navigate through various levels, fighting enemies and collecting spinach cans to gain strength.
The gameplay involves controlling Popeye as he moves left or right across the screen, jumping over obstacles and attacking enemies with his fists or a hammer. The game gets progressively harder as the player progresses through the levels, requiring quick reflexes and strategic thinking to overcome challenges.
