Itoi Shigesato no Bass Tsuri No. 1 Ketteihan! is a fishing simulation game developed in collaboration with Shigesato Itoi, a well-known writer and game designer in Japan.

The gameplay in Itoi Shigesato no Bass Tsuri No. 1 revolves around fishing for different types of fish in various locations across Japan. Players can choose from a variety of lures and fishing techniques to try and catch as many fish as possible, and the game also includes a "record book" feature that allows players to keep track of their catches.

In addition to the fishing gameplay, Itoi Shigesato no Bass Tsuri No. 1 also features a number of other activities for players to enjoy, such as exploring the game's various locations, interacting with other characters, and collecting items and achievements.

Itoi Shigesato no Bass Tsuri No. 1 Ketteihan! had a unique controller designed specifically for the game called the "Tsurikon 64". The Tsurikon 64 controller was shaped like a fishing reel and had a rod attached to it. The player would use the rod to cast their line and reel in fish, just like real fishing. The controller also had a small LCD screen that displayed information such as the time of day and the fish's weight, making the fishing experience more immersive. The Tsurikon 64 controller also had a vibration feature that would simulate the feeling of a fish biting the hook, which added to the realism of the game. The controller's buttons were used to select lures and perform other actions, and the joystick was used to control the movement of the line and the reel.
