The King of Fighters EX2 Howling Blood is a fighting game developed for the GameBoy Advance. Gustav Munchausen, a millionaire, is organizing the tournament again, but this time, the fighters are also investigating rumors about his involvement in serial kidnappings and a secret operation related to Orochi Power.
The game brings many gameplay characteristics from its arcade counterpart, The King of Fighters 2000, such as backgrounds and music. It includes three new exclusive characters: Reiji Okami, Miu Kurosaki, and Jun Kagami. There are also two new backgrounds, a modified Striker System, and a "Ranking Mode" where players can rate their fighting performance.
The main cast is formed by teams of fighters from various franchises, including:
Hero Team: Kyo Kusanagi, Moe Habana, and Reiji Okami
Fatal Fury Team: Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, and Mai Shiranui
Ikari Team: Leona Heidern, Ralf Jones, and Clark Steel
Korea Team: Kim Kaphwan, Choi Bounge, and Chang Koehan
Psycho Soldier Team: Athena Asamiya, Sie Kensou, and Bao
Art of Fighting Team: The Sakazaki family (Ryo, Yuri, and Takuma)
Iori Yagami, Jun Kagami, and Miu Kurosaki
