NBA Courtside 2002 is the GameCube's first basketball game. It uses motion-captured moves and face-mapping to bring a realistic experience to players. There are a total of 29 NBA teams plus the Western All-Stars and the Eastern All-Stars, allowing for a diverse range of teams to play against.
The gameplay is fast-paced and action-packed, with adrenaline-boosted moves and alley-oop dunks available to perform. The introduction of the C-Stick passing makes it easy to pass the ball to teammates. The game also features a great number of dunks and layups animations, adding to the overall excitement.
