Kinect Sports: Season Two is the sequel to Kinect Sports . Just like the original game, the player gets to compete in a number of sports using the Kinect peripheral to experience the action through motion-based control. The included sports are American football, baseball, darts, golf, skiing, and tennis. Each game can be played in single-player or multiplayer (both offline and online) and also has a mini-game variant. In single-player, there are opponents for three difficulty levels. Only the rookie difficulty level is available at the start, and others need to be unlocked. By competing, fans are earned, which acts as experience for a level system tied to the profile.
The gameplay of Season Two features various sports with unique mechanics. In skiing, you need to pass gates and jump while leaning left and right. In baseball, you throw passes to receivers based on different strategies selected before starting the play, as well as run as a quarterback dodging left or right. You also bat, catch incoming balls, pitch, and perform slidings in baseball. The mini-game for each sport uses the mechanics in a different setting. For example, in darts, you get to play pop darts where you need to hit balloons surrounding a character on a rotating circle. This edition puts more emphasis on the use of voice commands, supporting around 300 different commands.
Kinect Sports: Season Two was released on October 27, 2011, for the Xbox 360 console.
