Rise of Nightmares is a survival horror game that features exploration, combat, and boss battles. The difference is that all actions are controlled by the player's body using Kinect, instead of with a traditional controller.
The game begins on a train in Eastern Europe where you play as a character on vacation with his wife. You have an argument about his drinking problem, leading her to leave the train. When he searches for her, he finds her being kidnapped by a humanoid creature and madman. His goal is to save his wife from this threat, but he'll encounter supernatural elements throughout his journey.
The gameplay includes various motion controls such as:
opening doors with your hands, punching and kicking enemies, throwing scalpels or other weapons, running , climbing down or up ladders , swimming , turning your shoulders to control the camera, putting your foot in front of you to walk .
