Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is a third-person action game set in the distant future, in a city called New Amsterdam. The story follows Red, who, after being beheaded by DJ Cyber and saved by Tryce, joins the Bomb Rush Crew, a gang of writers consisting of Tryce and Bel, to conquer the city and retrieve his head and memories from DJ Cyber. Along the way, more writers are recruited into the BRC.

The player must traverse through New Amsterdam, taking control of five districts, achieved by placing graffiti over rival gangs'. In doing so, the player earns reputation, used to challenge rival gangs and take control of their respective districts. The player can travel on a skateboard, BMX bike or rollerskates, with a jet pack for faster traversal. As the meter increases, so does the police's forces, with helicopter gunships being deployed at the maximum level.

The game features a similar setting and cel-shaded artstyle to Jet Set Radio . It contains a variety of upbeat electro and hip-hop music, including contributions from Hideki Naganuma, known for his work on Jet Set Radio and Sonic Rush. The game was released on the Playstation 5 in December 2023.
