Return to Monkey Island

This game focuses on Guybrush Threepwood as he tries to reveal the secret of the Monkey Island. A prelude explains the ending of the previous game, and an optional scrapbook is available in the main menu that provides a brief history of all games. The adventure is divided into several parts and starts on Mêlée Island, where Guybrush finds himself without a ship and crew to travel to Monkey Island. Many characters from all titles return, including Stan, Otis, Wally, the Voodoo Lady, and Murray, as well as new characters.

The game uses a classic point-and-click interface to experience the story, talk to characters, and solve puzzles. Players can examine and interact with objects and characters, pick up items, and combine them in the environment. There is also a todo list that tracks quests. The game offers two modes: Casual and Hard, with more puzzles in the latter. Hints are provided through an in-game item called the hint book, and players must answer trivia questions about the series to reveal optional cards.
