The First, also known as the First Evil, is the central antagonist in the 2003 video game Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds. As an incorporeal entity, it cannot take physical form but manifests as deceased individuals to torment and manipulate the heroes. In the game, it attempts to break down the barriers between dimensions to plunge Earth into darkness.

Within the narrative of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds (2003), this entity serves as the mastermind behind a multi-dimensional crisis, resurrecting past adversaries such as Kakistos, Ethan Rayne, and Anya's demonic persona, Anyanka. Players encounter these resurrected foes as boss battles across various levels, including the Sunnydale High School, the Magic Box, and the Initiative base. The character's presence allows the game to function as a crossover event, bringing back deceased characters from earlier television seasons to challenge the playable cast of Buffy, Spike, Xander, Faith, Willow, and Sid the Dummy.
