EA Orlando, historically known as EA Tiburon, is a major development studio under the EA Sports label. The studio is the primary developer behind the long-running Madden NFL franchise, including both the 2013 and 2024 editions of Madden NFL 25. They also developed EA Sports College Football 25, marking the return of EA's college football gaming franchise.
The studio's work on the
Madden NFL franchise underwent a significant technological evolution, transitioning to the Frostbite engine to enhance graphical fidelity and physics simulation. This transition shaped the development of
Madden NFL 25 (2013), which served as a landmark release celebrating the silver anniversary of the franchise, introducing the "Run Free" precision modifier controls. Over a decade later, the studio revisited the title name with
Madden NFL 25 (2024), utilizing updated physics systems like FieldSENSE to refine player collisions and tactical control.
Simultaneously, the development of
EA Sports College Football 25 leveraged this established football engine while introducing distinct gameplay mechanics tailored to the collegiate atmosphere. The title implemented the "CampusIQ" system, featuring wear-and-tear mechanics and home-field advantage effects to differentiate its pacing from the professional simulation of the
Madden NFL series. To support these massive annual production cycles, the developer relocated to a custom-built facility in downtown Orlando's Creative Village in 2021, anchoring the region's digital media industry.
