About

City Connection Co., Ltd. is a Japanese video game publisher specializing in the localization, preservation, and revival of classic retro gaming intellectual properties. The company published the 2015 remake of Assault Suit Leynos, as well as various editions of Psyvariar Delta in 2018. They are also responsible for retro compilations such as Psikyo Shooting Library Vol. 2 and Ninja JaJamaru Collection.

The publisher's involvement with the Assault Suit Leynos franchise modernized the classic run-and-gun series, delivering the 2015 high-definition remake to international audiences on contemporary platforms. This project preserved the tactical mecha gameplay of the 1990 original while updating its presentation. Beyond mecha action, the company expanded its portfolio through partnerships with Bandai Namco, handling the distribution of the portable rolling puzzle game Me & My Katamari (2006) and its subsequent budget reissue Me & My Katamari [The Best] (2006).

In the shoot-em-up genre, the publisher revitalized Success Corporation's vertical shooter franchise with Psyvariar Delta (2018), alongside its collector-focused physical releases Psyvariar Delta [Limited Edition] (2018) and Psyvariar Delta [Premium Sound Box] (2018). These editions bundled exclusive soundtracks and art books to appeal to dedicated arcade enthusiasts. The company further solidified its preservation efforts by compiling historical catalogs, bringing classic arcade shooters to modern consoles via Psikyo Shooting Library Vol. 2 (2019) and celebrating Jaleco's legacy with the Ninja JaJamaru Collection (2019).
