Based in Milan, Milestone s.r.l. is well-known for developing and publishing licensed motorsports titles. The company has produced games for major racing series including MotoGP, MXGP, and the FIA World Rally Championship. In 2019, the studio was acquired by Koch Media, which later became Plaion.
Founded in 1994 under the name Graffiti before rebranding two years later, the studio established its early reputation with the
Screamer arcade racing series. During the early 2010s, the company solidified its position in the racing genre by securing prominent simulation licenses. This era produced critical releases such as
WRC 3: FIA World Rally Championship in 2012 and the spin-off
WRC Powerslide in 2013.
The studio's transition to self-publishing coincided with major releases like
MotoGP 13 and
MotoGP 14, which expanded their reach across multiple console generations and PC. Beyond these annual simulation franchises, the company expanded its portfolio with original intellectual properties. This includes the
Ride series, launched in 2015 to focus on production motorcycle culture, and the commercially successful arcade racer
Hot Wheels Unleashed in 2021. Through these diverse offerings, the developer transitioned from a contract studio into one of Europe's most prolific racing game specialists.
