About

United Games Entertainment GmbH is a German publisher known for bringing classic and retro-styled games to modern platforms, often through its publishing labels ININ Games and Strictly Limited Games. The company has published notable physical and digital releases including Flashback (2018), Spelunker HD Deluxe (2021), Turrican Flashback (2021), Star Renegades (2021), and the restored arcade title Clockwork Aquario (2021). They are also associated with publishing titles within the Taito Milestones franchise.

By securing the distribution rights for the 25th-anniversary edition of Flashback (2018), the publisher established a business model centered on preserving classic intellectual properties. This strategy culminated in the resurrection of Clockwork Aquario (2021), a cancelled Westone arcade game that was restored using original source code and hardware.

The publisher's portfolio heavily emphasizes physical preservation for collectors. Releases like Spelunker HD Deluxe (2021) and its accompanying Spelunker HD Deluxe [Collector's Edition] (2021) provided fans with premium physical packages, a strategy mirrored in the release of the tactical rogue-lite Star Renegades (2021) and the Star Renegades [Collector's Edition] (2021).

In terms of regional heritage, the compilation Turrican Flashback (2021) brought the iconic run-and-gun series by German developer Factor 5 to modern consoles. This dedication to arcade history is further demonstrated through their stewardship of the Taito Milestones franchise, which packages seminal 1980s arcade releases to ensure their continued availability on contemporary platforms.
