About

The ACA NEOGEO Selection Vol. series consists of physical retail compilations published by SNK and Hamster Corporation. Starting with ACA NEOGEO Selection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 in 2024, the series bundles multiple classic Neo Geo arcade ports onto a single cartridge. The series continued into 2025 with the releases of Vol. 3, Vol. 4, and Vol. 5.

These physical collections transition Hamster's extensive digital-only Arcade Archives library into tangible media, targeting collectors and preservationists. Each volume curates a diverse selection of SNK's arcade history, spanning fighting games, run-and-gun shooters, and sports titles. For instance, ACA NEOGEO Selection Vol. 1 (2024) features foundational titles such as King of the Monsters and Samurai Shodown, while ACA NEOGEO Selection Vol. 2 (2024) highlights sequels like The King of Fighters '95 and Fatal Fury 2.

As the series progressed, ACA NEOGEO Selection Vol. 3 (2025), ACA NEOGEO Selection Vol. 4 (2025), and ACA NEOGEO Selection Vol. 5 (2025) expanded the physical catalog to cover later-era Neo Geo releases and cult classics. The software emulation on these cartridges preserves the original arcade ROMs while integrating modern features. Players can access global online leaderboards, customize control schemes, adjust game difficulty, and apply visual filters to replicate the look of classic cathode-ray tube monitors. This series serves as a definitive physical archive of the Neo Geo's legacy on modern console hardware.
