The Atelier Ryza series, also known as the Secret sub-series, is a trilogy of role-playing games developed by Gust. It began with the 2019 release of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, which introduced a real-time tactical combat system and a revamped alchemy synthesis mechanic. The series follows the adventures and growth of the protagonist, Reisalin 'Ryza' Stout, and her friends.
Published by Koei Tecmo, the sub-series debuted across PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The initial release of Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and the Secret Hideout in 2019 was accompanied by highly sought-after physical packages, including the Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout [Limited Edition] and the Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout [Premium Box]. These collector editions featured exclusive art books, soundtracks, and cloth posters, reflecting strong fan demand.
Character designer Toridamono shaped the visual identity of the cast, particularly Ryza, whose design became a major driver of the game's marketing success.
