About

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a realistic action role-playing game series set in the early 15th century. The franchise debuted with the 2018 release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which saw multiple releases including the Special Edition, Royal Edition, and Limited Collector's Edition. The games focus on historical accuracy, realistic medieval combat, and the journey of the protagonist, Henry.

Developed by Warhorse Studios, the franchise began development following a successful 2014 Kickstarter campaign that proved the viability of a realistic, non-fantasy medieval setting. The initial launch of Kingdom Come Deliverance (2018) was distributed across several distinct physical and digital packages. Retailers distributed Kingdom Come Deliverance [Special Edition] (2018), which bundled in-game digital content like the "Treasures of the Past" map pack. For enthusiasts, Kingdom Come Deliverance [Limited Collector's Edition] (2018) provided physical collectibles, including a polyresin statue and a steelbook. Promotional copies were also distributed to media outlets as Kingdom Come Deliverance [Not For Resale] (2018).

To consolidate the post-launch expansions, developers released Kingdom Come Deliverance [Royal Edition] (2018), which compiled the base game alongside all major downloadable content, including "From the Ashes" and "The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon." Built on CryEngine, the series is noted for its classless progression system, open-world design recreating the Sasau River region, and period-accurate architecture. The franchise's commercial success, exceeding several million copies sold, established a dedicated fanbase and paved the way for a direct sequel.
