Fushigi no Dungeon: Furai no Shiren Gaiden - Jokenji Asuka Kenzan! follows the journey of Asuka, a skilled female swordsman, as she travels with her weasel companion Coppa to save the lands from corruption. Her quest begins after fighting alongside Shiren the Wanderer, and she soon meets a new ally, Minamo, a ninja who joins her in battle.
The gameplay involves navigating randomly generated dungeons, where Asuka will face various enemies and monsters. Along the way, she can acquire better swords and shields, which can be modified to improve combat performance. Additionally, players can breed monsters to aid Asuka in battles, making her stronger and more formidable.
