Shining Force EXA

Players choose between Toma, Cyrille, Gadfort, or Maebelle as their protagonist. Each character has different reasons for joining the quest to find the holy sword Shining Force. The main storyline focuses on a devastating war between humans and demons in a world divided into two kingdoms: The Noswald Empire (humans) and Fyrlandt (demons).

The player's base of operations is the Geo-Fortress, a mobile base that can be upgraded by collecting rare material. As the fortress upgrades, it becomes more powerful, allowing for more freedom to explore. Strategic decisions focus on managing the fortress, including room for shops, training party members, and choosing who to take on quests. The fortress can also be attacked, requiring defense.
