Dr. Brown's plan to save the planet G-9 has been set in motion after defeating Golden Silver, a mad android who sought to drain the planet's energy. Four Mystical Gems, the source of the android's power, were extracted and sealed on one of the planet's moons. However, years later, Smash Daisaku's sinister plot unfolds as he kidnaps Gunstar Green and uses him to reveal the gems' locations. With Golden Silver now just a step away from revival, Red and Blue Gunstar must band together with their sister Yellow to put an end to Smash Daisaku's plans.
Gunstar Heroes is a thrilling side-scrolling shooter that pits players against fast-paced action. Guided by either Red or Blue Gunstar, the game offers access to four core weapons: Force, rapid shot; Lightning, a straight shot with penetration capabilities; Chaser, a homing weapon; and Flame, a powerful close-range attack. By combining two weapons, players can create an arsenal of fourteen unique options. Melee attacks, including grabbing and tossing enemies, as well as acrobatic moves like jumping and sliding, add depth to the gameplay experience.
