The land of Hydlide has faced its share of struggles, but none as dire as the one it faces now. A dark force, once thought to be mere legend, has returned with a vengeance. The evil demon Varalys brings with him an era of destruction and chaos, threatening to undo the centuries of peace that followed his initial defeat. As the people of Hydlide tremble with fear, they turn to their ancient lore for guidance. A young hero, chosen by fate, is said to be the only one who can save Hydlide from the brink of disaster.

Super Hydlide , a game that carries on the action RPG legacy of its predecessors, introduces a new layer of complexity to the series. Players are given the freedom to create their own character, choosing from four distinct classes: Warrior, Thief, Priest, and Monk. The gameplay is fast-paced, with melee combat requiring the player to press the attack button at precisely the right moment. A hunger system adds an extra layer of realism, as the protagonist must eat to maintain his strength. The morality system returns, allowing players to make choices that will impact the game world in meaningful ways.
